Powers and Abilities:
- Telepathic Manipulation Allows Tai to manipulate the minds of certain individuals around him. To do this he simply extends mental waves through Telepathy to connect with another persons mind;
- Mental Power Amplification Tai has the ability to strengthen the powers of those around him. This is done by repelling mental waves through his own mind to those around him, extending with it his own energy and power. As this reaches the target
, their minds will unlock the excess Power needed through increasing the mental ability of the person being amplifide. In theory, Tai acts as a human generator for the targets power, giving them his power for the time being.
Appearance:Tadao is around five feet eight and a half inches, rather tall for a half-Japanese fifteen year old by most accounts, and weighs about one hundred thirty pounds or so, a good weight. His face is semi-round with a slight point to his chin and his skin is clear, but a sort of..tanned mocha color, his eyes slightly epicanthic in shape, though only partially, as if to tell people he were half Asian. He has particularly long eyelashes and exceedingly emotionally expressive deep blue eyes, wide and colorful like a deep pool.
He is toned, and while not exceedingly muscular, without a six-pack or a 'barrel', he does not have any form of fat upon his body. He's physically quite fit, a partial life alone on the streets raising him to be particularly tough and swift. His hair is black by birth, but currently is died a semi-faded blue to match his hair. It is cut short, shoddy but handsome through a sharp knife of some form. It's oddly quite a skilled cut despite being performed by a teenage boy with no training or proper tools, is a little taller at the back and cut and trimmed shorter toward the front, about three inches long at best, at two at shortest. His lips are slightly thin and almost girlish in appearance, while his teeth are perfectly white and brushed despite his lack of a home, his nose is small, upturned and rather cute, and finally his ears are medium sized and rather perky, not ugly or garish at all.
His clothes are generally anything he can find and/or steal from other people or stores he can actually find his way into. He currently wears a thick black hoodie with no design and brown cords attached to the hood, black full-finger gloves and a dark navy blue woolly hat. He has a gray t-shirt and black cargo pants with no design, simple black. Finally he has simple brown shoes, not too big to slow him down but not small enough to cut or tear easily. Despite it all being 'borrowed' or found, it is rather clean and not smelly, nor is it overly old looking.
Personality:Tadao's true personality is almost entirely hidden. He is polite, yet sadistic and seems to enjoy exceedingly violent horror movies. He is obviously exceedingly intelligent with an I.Q of around 180,and can discern personality traits and such through idle conversation and the answers those around him give, though of course his powers help with this.
He is generally kind and helpful and it is said to be highly difficult to discern not only what Tadao's thoughts are, but also his motives. He is not a deranged killer, he is not particularly evil, and he has not really done much in the way of illegal business to deserve his position as one of the 'Mutant Hunters' most wanted, though this is probably because of his multiple escape attempts.
Despite those odd personality flaws he seems to have a very hard time with harsh behavior, rudeness, and loutish behaviors. He will usually calm and pensive, passive to a point and will never raise his voice nor show any form of anger nor weakness, even if inside he is; He is a master at disguising his true thoughts, feeling and motives, and nobody in the world is capable of figuring these out.
He also knows full well that he is highly attractive, and has a beautiful smile, white teeth and smooth voice capable of easily wooing basically anybody who has a sexual attraction to males, and as such will freely use these options to manipulate others. Finally, he has highly difficult taste-buds; Basically anything others might find tasty like cheese and sweets, he will find disgusting, and vice-versa, thus he likes food such as raw vegetables and fish, rice gruel and rice with green tea and seafood. He despises meat and fur produce also, thinking it is disgusting to wear another being.
His personality generally switched from a controlled, pensive and serious demeanor to a comic, sweet and non-serious demeanor depending on the situation; An oddity those who know him generally call his 'switching'.
History:Tadao Takahaji was born the child of two prominent and wealthy bankers, Motohiro and Naomi Takahaji, their first and to date only child. Motohiro was a full-blooded Japanese man who's family, all bankers of the highest standards who had lived in and around Hiroshima even during the bombings of world war 2, and were a vital part of rebuilding the Aki-ku ward of the city where the family lived. Naomi however was a British-born, half Japanese legal immigrant living in the country for just over ten years. The couple met during a huge deal, and fell in love having seen one-another's handsome looks and intelligent dealings.
Shortly after their ten year anniversary, Naomi gave birth to a completely unplanned and unknown child, an oddity as she had thought she gained weight simply from her new promotion which allowed her more rest and time to sit. They named the child Tadao, meaning complacent and satisfied, in hopes that the child would grow to take on such traits.
However, shortly after the child was born an odd ability began to manifest within it. Every time Naomi would attempt to breast-feed her son, she would begin to feel as if her mind was being wondered through by other beings, as if things were moving around her as she touched him. Other people, the father and grandparents with them, began to realize that this child was definitely not the normal boy they hoped for. The reality was, Tadao was much like Naomi's brother, Takari, a man who had been abandoned long before the child was born and raised by mutants similar to himself. They soon realized that Tadao, too, was a mutant.
For high-flying people such as themselves raising a child would of been difficult enough as it was, they did -not- need to raise a child who was a genetic freak who had to wear thick jackets and gloves all year round for some mysterious reason. For this reason they shipped the boy off alone on a flight to New York City as soon as was humanly possible, when he was around eight years old, given tutoring in English, but not knowing the basic school work such as grammar, punctuation and spelling, nor did he know anything of math or science. Despite this, he was insanely bright and intelligent, and was even capable of outwitting all his family members at once.
At eight years old Tadao arrived in New York City, but was greeted by no single person. His uncle had died weeks previously, after his parents had contacted him, killed by another superhuman in search for further power. Tadao separated from the station and found himself a permanent home on the rather mean streets of New York, carving his path out himself using his powers for survival.
Shortly after his fourteenth birthday, Tadao was called upon by a representative of a group of super powered beings, as he was told, and met with the mystery man shortly afterwords where his powers and abilities were tested greatly against the person. Afterwords, having come out victorious despite the fact he knew he was being eased along and the mans powers were not fully used as they should have been, he was given the codename Psyche and returned to a facility with numerous other children his age and older where he was trained to harness his budding powers further.
A year later his powers were partially activated, enough to allow him to use at least part of his powers and be effective in what was known as the main group. He was then drafted into the real organization behind the group of candidate children known simply as 'The Brotherhood of Mutants'. The day when he meets the leaders of the organization looms..
