Charlotte closed her eyes and continued to enjoy Melissa brushing her hair as she waited for a response. When was the last time she had felt so peaceful? There was something about this place. She heard Melissa say that she was born and raised in New York. Charlotte smiled, but also wondered if she ever did want to go adventuring. Was there a reason to why she never left the city?
"Hehe," Charlotte giggled, "that's opposite of me, I wasn't born here, and I don't know this city very well at all. I'm not from... here...."
Charlotte paused, a bit confused. She didn't remember her past, yet how could she say that so confidently. So she wasn't from New York, but where was she from? All those times she kept speaking French...
Melissa finished styling Charlotte's hair and settled back into her seat. She looked uncomfortable, maybe even a little awkward. Was Charlotte the cause for making her feel out of place. She frowned. She didn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable in their own home. Melissa said something about Cinnamon powder. She didn't know exactly what that was, but it didn't matter much. Judging from her fast paced actions, she was able to realize that it might just be the way she was. Fast paced, fast thoughts, fast everything. She probably couldn't stay doing one thing for too long, either. Charlotte smiled politely at her squirmy friend. She was really the most interesting person she had ever met.
"Maybe you can show me around the city sometime," Charlotte said speaking in a rather timid tone, her cheeks flushing from her sudden shyness.
It was strange to think she could say such things even after all she had been through. This girl made her feel as if it didn't really matter. But... it did matter. Many people were looking for her, and it wasn't safe. She might have to go out in a disguise if she ever stepped out of those doors.

A mental gasp shook through Melissa's body, causing her tail to stick up slightly more so than usual. She'd never befriended a person before who didn't know the city better than her. It was probably a factor that'd make her easily the most interesting person she'd ever met. She'd almost completely forgotten her days plan, quick glancing down at her phone she confirmed the date. It was indeed and thankfully a day off. The clock also seemed to state the day was still young, but it got hard to trust as sometimes seconds felt like hours and days like seconds.
"Really?!" She squeaked in excitement as she banged her palms to the table and bounced herself up out of her seat. The speed sending chair off balance and tipping over to it's demise. She'd probably had forgotten her plans to... well... Yeah, she'd completely forgotten her plans if she had any. Those plans were in the past anyways, now it was time shine with Charlotte. She burst off in almost blur straight to her room. No words spoken in between the travel, just quick light foot steps, then stopped by the sound of her room being demolished maybe?
Before one could make it to the doorway of her room, Melissa's head popped out. A sock firmly dangling from the nutty girls mouth, as her arms were full of clothes. "Here," Melissa started with a mumble before dropping to her behind. Her foot reached up grabbing the inside of the sock in her mouth. Her other foot grabbed the outside and pulled it down over her foot as her teeth released it. "We'll wear some glasses and hats then go around town." Her hands threw the pile of clothes across the floor.
Scanning and spotting a second sock she quickly gathered her little white soft treasure. Something about the first sock made the one bare foot completely intolerable. "Pick, whatever..." Melissa stated with only a third her attention span remaining. She'd practically roll into the pile of clothes and come out completely dressed and ready. "It'll be like crazy, yo? Come'on!" She said with a childish smile and swagger of her tail.
Melissa now had a plan, it'd be to show 'her' city of to the foreigner. The plans from their could expand too, they could go to the mall and get new outfits. They could get, "Matching outfits," She said aloud with a look over wonder and awe. Yet as always she'd probably gotten ahead of herself. Charlotte was still sitting at the table, had Melissa even asked her if she'd been hungry. She worked a lot and lived with little to show for it, a lil spend at a vendor couldn't kill her.

Charlotte watched Melissa's reaction. It was really surprising, but she doubted she was more surprised than Melissa was acting. The look on her face was priceless, but it was a bit worrying. She squeaked her excitement, she couldn't believe that Charlotte had just said that. What did she just say? All she asked was a tour around the city sometime. But she wanted to go now? It was dangerous for her!
Charlotte was about to say something when Melissa ran into the room and came out instantly with a pile of clothes. Charlotte blinked. How can someone be so fast? It was really incredible and amusing at the same time. She suggested to Charlotte that they wear glasses and hats that way people wouldn't be able to notice them so easily. Charlotte smiled. They would wear disguises! Melissa was smart after all. And she was a really nice person. She could feel a bond growing between them. Charlotte owed a lot to Melissa, and even more now that she was showing her around the city. Melissa disappeared into the pile of clothes and came out fully dressed. Charlotte stared, clearly very impressed. But then she realized she needed to get a move on if she wanted to even just barely keep up with the excitable squirrel girl.
As Charlotte got up and reached into the pile of clothes, she suddenly got very shy. Should she just change in front of the girl? Melissa probably wouldn't mind... Oh, well. Charlotte pulled off the borrowed pajamas she had on. Some of her skin was covered in the bandages that Melissa had provided earlier, but the rest she was covered in cuts and bruises and was still very thin. Even so, Charlotte didn't even have this in mind. What was in her mind was walking around the City with Melissa. She was still slightly paranoid about it, but... it might be fun. Who knows?
In a minute, she had changed out of the pajamas and was wearing clothes similar to Melissa's. Pants, shirt, a hoodie, sunglasses, and a hat. Charlotte wished Melissa had a wig. I'd be better if she had wigs, but what she had on would have to do. She smiled at Melissa, but then she saw Melissa in her own fantasy, mumbling something about matching outfits. She smiled, a bit worried.
"Uhhmm," she cleared her throat politely, hoping to get Melissa's attention, "do I look okay?"
