EVE
Real Name: Hope Rivers
Alias: Eve; Even; Cure
Birthday: 6/7
Age: 8
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Height: 4'5"
Blood Type: O
Affiliation: Division
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Hometown: Phoenix, Arizona
Nationality: North American
Power Category: Power Negation
Mutant Level: to be filled by staff
Powers and Abilities:
- Power Disruption: Eve has one of the most baffling powers of all mutants. It remains inexplicable to even some of the most advanced scientists. Her power is capable of suppressing the mutation gene, thus, making mutants incapable of using their powers whenever they are in range, and easily making them feel weak. In a sense, she is the Kryptonite of the mutant race.
- Power Negation Field: This is an ability of Eve which cannot be turned on or off. Any mutant within a 30 meter radius of her will lose the ability to use his or her powers. Any ability that isn't based on physiology will be instantaneously vanquished and will remain so until they are out of range. In short, the ability inhibits growth of the x-gene to prevent any further development. However, even for mutants with physiological adaptations, with prolonged exposure to Eve, their powers will begin to disappear, as any new cells produced by their body will not carry the mutant genes, and the old ones will begin to die.
- Disruptive Touch: Upon making direct contact with Eve's skin, a mutant's powers will be negated, just as though they had been in her negation field. Touching Eve will result in a 24 hour negation of powers. Drinking her saliva will result in a full week of negated powers, and drinking her blood will negate a mutant's powers forever. Conversely, for normal humans without mutant powers, a simple touch will knock them out for 24 hours, drinking her saliva will knock them out for a week, and drinking her blood will kill them. It is important to remember, however, that her blood and saliva is only potent for 20 minutes after it is removed from her body.
Appearance:
Hope is a small, and somewhat scrawny young girl, however she does pack a punch very well. Even though she is one of the smaller students in her age group, it's not wise to pick a fight with her. She is very aggressive, and when she takes her gloves off, things can get serious. Hope has long blonde hair which she will usually wear in pig tails. Her skin is smooth, and despite how often she picks fights, it remains virtually unscathed. Her scarring is at a minimum.
Usually, Hope likes to dress as though she's a policewoman. She'll wear a miniskirt, gloves, boots, and a police-cap. Nonetheless, she isn't actually a part of the police force. She simply took the outfit from a Halloween costume store.
Personality:
Hope has a highly mischievous nature and, as such, has deemed herself to be the Queen of Pranksters. She will go to great lengths to pull pranks on her peers, and even her family. Whether her prank works out well or not doesn't matter much to her. It isn't the success of a prank that she pulls that matters. The reason that she pulls the pranks in the first place isn't actually to prank people, but rather to get their attention. She craves attention. However, as she isn't very spectacular in anything that she thinks could get her positive attention (things such as sports, school etc.), she tries to get attention the easy way by pulling pranks.
DespiteHope's mischievous nature she has shown herself to care deeply for her friends and family, going to any length to defend them. She cares just as much about protecting them as she does pranking them. She will not tolerate anyone saying anything bad about her family, especially her mother.
At school, Hope was known to be a trouble maker. She has gotten suspended numerous times and has been known to start fights with other students. She starts these fights often to defend her honor. Even though she earned herself the reputation as the class clown and made herself a target for the jokes and unfriendly comments of her peers, she cannot tolerate them saying anything bad about her. Even the slightest insult will get on Hope's bad side. While she doesn't lose her temper easily, she feels that she must defend herself in such situations.
When she is at home and not pulling pranks, she'll usually spend most of her time playing video games, the majority of which are Digimon. She'll play her video games for hours at a time if she isn't stopped, only because she enjoys feeling as though she is escaping into some other world. Even more so because it makes her feel stronger in these video game worlds. On the inside, she is actually a very vulnerable girl who cares deeply about what others think about her, despite her thick exterior. Some nights, she will break down into tears crying, without seeming to have a reason for it.
History:
Only a bit more than a year after Hope's birth, Hope's father left the family. As such, Hope has no memory of him, although both her mother and older sister agree that she looks and acts the most like him. There are many uncanny similarities between herself and her father. She has his eyes, his face, his complexion, and even his strong sense of pride. Perhaps this is the reason that, even though she hasn't met him, she feels like she has a naturally strong connection with him, even more so than her sisters. At the same time, however, his disappearance had perhaps been the most painful for her.
She always wondered what the reason her father had left was. At times she wondered if she even blamed herself. He had stayed there for her older sister, Jessica, but shortly after her own birth, he had left. Signs pointed to her being the reason for it, although she would never vocalize this guilt she felt towards her mother and sister. She would always keep it bottled up inside. She didn't believe anyone else needed to be bothered by the likes of her own problems.
When Hope entered school, she would continue attempting to hide her insecurities and vulnerabilities by keeping the composure of a thick-skinned and sometimes oblivious young girl. In her class, she became known as the clown. She was always pulling pranks on the students and teachers, which resulted in her getting in a lot of trouble. Still however, that trouble was nothing compared to the trouble she would get into because of her physical altercations. It wouldn't be much of an exaggeration to say that she had attempted to beat up everyone in her class once. The slightest provocation could result in her wrath. Luckily the principal was very forgiving, at least for her.
However, one of her altercations went much too far. A boy had picked on her family, calling her mother a whore and her family trailer park trash. Hope instigated a fight and tackled the boy to the ground. She began to strangle him, putting her hands around his throat. However, little did she realize that she was literally strangling the soul out of him. He never woke up again. After the fight, she knew she was about to take disciplinary action. She waited outside of the principal's office, though it wasn't long before Hope overheard him going over the situation with her mother.. They called her a mutant. "Just like her father," her mother said. She broke down into tears. This was the first time that she had heard about her father as a mutant.
Angry that her family had been keeping such a secret from her, Hope ran away to live on the streets, despite being only 8 years old. Surprisingly, she was able to adapt to a life of homelessness. She stole from vendors, and broke into homes. Her powers also made this a bit easier for her, as she could knock someone out with a simply touch.
