Powers and Abilities:
- Cryokinesis: Sub-Zero can use his mutant ability to control moisture such as to freeze any air moisture into super-hard ice. This ice can be formed into any object of his choosing: the only limitations are his own imagination, and the ambient air temperature which determines how long his ice sculpture will stay icy. He does not have to hold the ice physically with his hands in order to shape it. Apparently he can simply direct the waves of coldness he projects in certain ways so as to create ice in the shape he desires. Sub-Zero can create powerful constructs of ice. On at least one occasion, he has even been shown to make it snow or cause a blizzard.
- Thermal Vision: The ability to see beings due to the heat signature that others give off, because of the absence of heat around him.
- Organic-Ice Form: Ability to not only cover his body with ice, but to actually become organic ice. Though the appearance is similar, Sub-Zero is now actually translucent in his ice form. Sub-Zero is virtually indestructible in this form, allowing him to reform his body should it become shattered. In his ice form, he is able to use the moisture in the air to form spikes, shields and attach other extra appendages to his body.
- Temperature Control:Sub-Zero is a mutant with the superhuman ability to lower his external and internal body temperature, projecting intense coldness from his body. Like any normal human being's, the nerve centers for regulating the Sub-Zero's body temperature are found in the part of the brain called the hypothalamus. However, Sub-Zero can mentally override his hypothalamus to allow his body temperature to be lowered by an unknown internal mechanism. This ability converts the latent thermal energies in and around his body into an unknown form of energy that is efficiently dissipated. A related mutation has rendered his body tissues unaffected by sub-zero temperatures. Sub-Zero can consciously, immediately lower his body temperature from its normal 98.6 Fahrenheit to absolute zero (The point where all molecular motion stops) and lower within the span of a few tenths of a second. Sub-Zero has shown that his power to generate cold is so great, that he was able to stop a fusion core explosion which in layman's terms is a massive nuclear explosion.
Appearance:
Dante is a tall, slender individual. He has white hair and hazel eyes. Standing at 6'0". he weighs 200 pounds. He is always where a red cloak but his under clothing is black and a little tight. When he is transformed in his ice form, he looks almost crystalline. He looks clear and smooth, with no flaws.
Personality:
Dante has been turned into an aggressive yet caring person. He has had to fight his way through to avoid the mutant registration act having doing things that he doesnt like only when he sees fit, except killing. He loves to be free and not have to not be under constant watch.
He wants to have the world go back to the way it was but with mutants accepted into society. He loves to be in solitude and to keep people out of harms way. He will put his life on the line for people if he knows they aren't bad people. He doesn't really like seeing people die and will protect them if he must. Overall he is a good person, he is of average intelligence, and tries to stay hidden.
History:Dante was born to a home of a loving family. They lived a normal life, being disgusted by all the mutants. They felt they were beneath them and were worthless. Not seeing them as an evolution of mankind but as freaks of nature. They never suspected that their own son had these powers. When Dante turned 13, his powers had manifested themselves.
When he was 13, he was being bullied at school. The bully wanted to fight him and when the bully charged at him, Dante threw up his hands letting forth a blast of freezing air. He froze the bully in his spot, scaring everyone. He didnt know what to think, and ran home. He was scared to tell his parents but apparently they already found out from the school.
He knew his parents would hate him and abandon him so he ran away. He had money that he saved up from birthdays and doing chores and left Georgia and his home town, never to look back. He has been traveling around, living with various mutants and kind humans.
He soon had the division after him. He didn't register for the Mutant Registration Act cause he didn't believe in it. He felt that everyone should be treated the same and no one should have to be singled out. He would fight to make this change and lift this act of diversity.
