Powers and Abilities:

• Power Elmer can control plants, he is capable of mentally manipulating plantlife and have it do his bidding. His most favored type of plants are trees and roots, capable of shaking tree leaves to startle or scare people or manipulate the roots in the ground to cause people to trip. He has a limit however- he can only control plants in the immediate area, within a range of twelve feet.
  
  Any further and he has a harder time controlling the plants as he's forcing his mind to spread out and search causing a lot of strain on him mentally. Another weakness is lack of plant life. Without any plants within the area, he can't control anything- he must be within range of some sort of greenery to use his powers, or else he is as normal as any other human.
  
  
  • Subskill one: Manipulate Trees- He is capable of manipulating tree to shake and or bend their branches. He must be near or touching the tree to get the full effects for it.
    
    
  • Subskill two: Manipulate Roots- He can manipulate roots in the ground to come up and trip or tangle up people. He must be standing or touching the ground for it work.

Appearance:

Elmer stands at 5'8 with soft fair skin, and a thin build. He weighs around 148 pounds coming off quite thin and weak. He has no defining muscles on him, as he doesn't do any strenuous exercise. His hair is a soft brown color as are his eyes which are hazel. For clothing he usually wears normal unassuming clothing. A white t-shirt with a red symbol on it- and a pair of blue jeans, with a pair of worn white sneakers. A satchel is usually seen on his person and his identity tag is hidden on his ankle.

Personality:

Elmer comes off as shy and quiet. Distant and unwilling to commune with others. He seems scared of himself and others avoiding people as much as he can. He hates conflict and dealing with dangerous situations. He may come off as a coward at times but his heart is still good. He fights with his emotions of what to do. If for a good reason or a selfish reason. He hates his powers and being a mutant which makes him loathe being himself. He doesn't hate other mutants though he is wary of them.

Deep down however he wishes to use his powers for good- wants to be seen as a hero, but isn't sure on how to handle or control them- fearing they will get out of control and hurt someone. So he continues to run away from his problems wishing he was stronger willed, and hope that one day he will find the courage to do what he believes is right.

History:

Born New York, New York- Elmer was born to two normal parents. Bother were hard working individuals who expected their children to be the same. His brothers were just as hardworking with whatever they did. However for Elmer he was a bit of the black sheep of the family... He wasn't lazy- far from it, but he couldn't seem to do the simplest things without messing up. His grades were terrible and he had a hard time grasping simple subjects such as math and science.

His parents worried and thought he was autistic, but tests and therapy showed he was quite fine. Not only was he distant and anti-social but he seemed to have a liking towards plants. He said that they "understood him" which gave his parents the idea to buy him a plant to make care of. Maybe it would sooner or later help him in conversation to normal people- or so his doctor said...

However it had gotten worse he secluded himself to his room , only coming out to eat and relieve himself or on school days got to school, it was when his parents came to with some men to take him away for in patient therapy did he retaliate- screaming he managed to make the roots from the ground and bind the men's ankles. Not giving anyone time to think he fled, never looking back.

A few month's later after avoiding search parties did he finally realize he was a mutant. Not wanting to get on the wrong side of the law- he registered himself as a mutant and then continued his traveling hoping to avoid his family. It turned from running in fear- to soul searching and he was searching for where he belonged....
