Powers and Abilities:

• Powers-Phasing:
  Altering the vibratory rates of her atoms, Maka is able to pass her atoms through the between the atoms of the object she is moving through, in this way she and the object through which she is passing can temporarily merge without interacting, and each is unharmed. Within this state, she is, for all intents ad purposes, intangible. Hence, when attacked, she could shift into a "phasing" state so as to allow oncoming projectiles or energy blasts to pass through her harmlessly.
  
  
  • Extension of Phasing: While not only capable of phasing herself, Maka has the ability to phase others along with her. As long as she is physically touching them, she can turn them into an intangible state along with her. But it is short term and can be extremely tiring to Maka. It is also limited to a standing position, meaning that they have to remain in one position and can not move. Maka most also still be touching them in order for them to turn into this phase state.

    But while phasing, Maka is unable to breath while inside another object, and thus can only keep moving through them so long as she can hold her breath. An example would be if she wished to move underground. Maka would have to be able to hold her breath long enough to reach a space in between that could provide her with air. Another weakness in her abilities is that while she can phase, her lack of training with this power limit her to only be able to do so for a short amount of time. After which, she finds herself somewhat exhausted.

Appearance:

With crimson hair that flows down her back and small bangs at the front, with matching red eyes and a creme colored complexion,Maka is in all appearances, quite beautiful despite her invisible mutation. Standing at 5'1, the young girl has a somewhat athletic figure, but it is over looked mostly due to the fact that her body is already developing into early womanhood.Pink lips, neatly trimmed fingernails, and a smile that seems to melt the anger off most people, the girl is by all statements innocent looking.

Her outfit consists of a black spring jacket with a folded collar, a white t-shirt underneath it, along with a set of black jeans and matching boots. Though this is simply her outfit when out fighting with her fellow X-men. For the majority of the time, Maka prefers her school uniform which is that of a white long sleeved top and blue skirt.She also has a short-sleeved version of the uniform, but all seem to fit perfectly with her white shoes and socks.

Personality:

Maka's personality can be summed up in one word,innocent. Despite the fact that she knows of the mistreatment and indifference her kind suffer through, she constantly believes that things will eventually change. The girl is a dreamer, shy and gentle. With her beautiful appearance, she is easily embarrassed and often quite to blush as a reaction to compliments. Along with this, Maka is also kind hearted and caring. She tends to think of the needs of others over her self, often leaving herself without many things. But that doesn't mean that she is without flaws.

Easily frightened and at times cowardly, Maka tries her best to avoid conflict and distances herself from possible fights. Though she does speak her mind when she feels it necessary, she easily follows others and doesn't think for herself. While she does talk to others, Maka will quickly become silent if she her ideas are shot down or if someone interrupts her. In this sense, she has very low self esteem and lacks confidence. But if the situation is right, Maka does display some bravery, especially if her friends are in trouble.

History:

Born to Kenneth and Mikururu Anderson, Maka lived much of her life within New York City. Simply living the normal life of a city girl, the young child had no idea of the gifts hidden within her, neither did her parents for that matter. For all appearances, the girl was quite normal, ordinary. But that changed during the time of her 10th birthday.

It was early in the morning during the day after her party, a rather fun event at that. While walking to school with her head set placed securely over her ears, Maka happened to walk right out into the middle of a busy street crossing when the light was green. Though she hadn't realized her mistake, an incoming car had as they blew their horn towards her as they keep driving through. But as they seemed unable to stop in time, Maka did come to see them and gasped as she braced herself for what was likely her death. But as she stood there, her body began to meld with the passing vehicle, allowing her to come out on the other side unharmed.

This close encounter with death seemed to activate something inside her, and her life was never the same afterwords. From then on, Maka seemed to be unable to keep herself stable. In school, her bag seemed to slip off her shoulders and she was even incapable of holding a pencil at times. While her parent just kept telling her to be normal, Maka found herself unable to do so. In truth, she had no idea what was happening to her. So in best attempts, she continued to try and hide it, at least till she received a rather strange phone call at home.
