This day had already started without a second to breath. Making her way through the second floor hall of the dormitories, the young red haired female held her hand close to her chest as she removed her sunglasses to show the fear in her eyes. Even before getting into the school, she had been almost ambushed by reporters and flashing lights. It had only been after getting inside that her eyes began to become clear in their vision.
How did it come to this? A strange phone call and a conversation with her parents. Professor Xavier. He had said that he could help her learn to control her abilities. That was what she truly wanted. If she did, then she could go back home and live her live once again. Her parents wouldn't have to worry so much and they wouldn't look at her so funny. All the wanted was for her to be normal...so did she.
Looking at a slip of paper that she held in her hands, Maka's eyes scanned for a specific room number. It would be where she'd live for the remainder of her time here. For a mansion, it was pretty big, at least in her opinon. It was the first time she had ever set foot in such place. Even her field trips to the Empire State Buildings hadn't given her much of an tour of how large it was within. Still, perhaps she shouldn't let herself get too attached. After all, she had made a promise.
"Learn what you need to and come home.....That's what dad said.....I can do it.....I know I can do it.......I have to do it....."
Still searching, Maka removed her white ball cap from her hair as well as she placed it within her bag that sat upon her shoulder. It was odd, but she wondered if those people had gotten a good picture of her? Wouldn't that mean that people would know she was here? Her friends at her old school? Her other relatives? Her parents could be in big trouble because of this, especially since she had been kept secret for so long.
Maybe no one will recognize me.....Oh I hope no one will recognize me....
A concerned expression crossed her face as she then reached down to rub her right ankle. It was still adjusting to the tracker that had been placed on her a few days ago. It was there to monitor her movements under law. Still....she felt a little like a criminal wearing it. What did it matter though, if she took it off, she went to jail. From what her heard, mutants weren't exactly treated fairly. It wasn't even what she heard, it was clearly displayed on her way here.
The rally outside the mansion, the people that shouted towards them. The rock that had been thrown and hit her in the chest as she walked by. All she had done was smile towards someone, and they threw a rock at her. Maka still felt the bruise upon her stomach, tingling with each step. But soon her journey ended as she saw the room she was supposed to be in. Taking a deep breath, she walked inside to see what awaited her.

Elizabeth heard the door open. Someone was clearly approaching. She had known for some time that another student would be arriving, and being that the door had just rung, she knew it couldn't be anyone other than one of those students. Upon entering, she knew that it was the voice of a girl. Of course, she was excited to meet this girl.
Elizabeth crawled upside down on the ceiling above "Ghost." She looked down below to see who it was, and indeed, it was a girl her age, though it was a girl she had never met before. Quickly, Elizabeth's tongue shot out at the girl's ankle bracelet. In one swift motion, she had disconnected it, and following that, she retracted her tongue and brought it to her hands. She swallowed her tongue once again to conceal it. She held onto the ceiling with her left hand and her bare feet and held the ankle bracelet for the other girl to examine.
"You don't need to wear that here."

The room was rather nice. It held a few items within it, proving that someone else lived here now beside herself. So it meant that she would be sharing. Maybe it wouldn't be so terrible after all, especially if she was to make a new friend. Though this then brought up the question of where this person was? Had they already moved in and left? With such a large mansion, it would be almost impossible to find this stranger.
Yet as she prepared to put her bag down, something pink shot down from the ceiling, grabbing at her ankle. Screaming as she felt it tug upon the bracelet, Maka quickly jumped back, tripping over her own feet and landing on her back. As she looked up towards the direction of which this attack came, she saw a girl around her age with blonde hair. She appeared to hanging from the ceiling and holding on to her ankle bracelet.
As she listened to her state that she didn't need it, Maka held a shocked and terrified look on her face.
"Bu...but I was told to where it ever or I'd be arrested!!"

Somewhere on the second floor... Well, his room had to be nearby, at least. The dorms were supposed to be on this floor. As the time passed by and Jory continued to wander the school's hallways, he could all but hope that he would soon find the proper numbered dorm, the one he was to be staying in.
Although the boy didn't realize until he'd turned the knob on one door and pushed it open, how mistaken his memory apparently was when it came to what room he had been assigned to stay in. The number on the door had seemed the right one, yet as he pushed it open, his eyes fell upon a frightened girl who'd nearly fallen completely back into the doorway.
Jory stood, in the doorway still, surprised and with his hand wrapped around the doorknob. "Oh... Um..." His eyes flashed from the girl on the floor, up to the one on the ceiling, who he may not have even noticed in the first place if not for the talking going on between the two. Clearly this was something private that he'd stumbled upon... But even more concerning was, if this wasn't the correct room... then how the heck was he going to find out which one he was really supposed to be sleeping in?

Shortly after Maka had come into the room, yet another mutant had come bursting in just after the girl's fell to the ground in fright. It was rather coincidental that two students arrived in the room at around the same time, yet had neglected to notice each other in the large hallway, and even more curious that Lizzy hadn't heard the second one come into the home or ring he doorbell. Of course this was nothing she'd concern herself with.
Elizabeth dropped down from the ceiling just a few feet in front of Maka. She tossed the ankle bracelet down to the girl so that it would land on her stomach. Elizabeth wasn't going to stop her from wearing it or anything like that. Not if that's what she wanted to do, but she knew the girl didn't have to wear it at her new home.
"Hi," Elizabeth said, now turning to welcome the new boy who had just come into the room.

Already she was silently regretting it. Why did this have to happen to her? All she wanted to do was go home. Her roommate had completely scared her silly and now there was a boy standing over her from behind as she sat upon the ground with her expression still in shock. Though instead of receiving an answer from the wall crawler, the blonde simply jumped down in front of her and then tossed the ankle bracelet upon her stomach. While it had been a light toss, its landing still managed to string as it forced her clothes to be pressed down against her bruise from earlier.
But as her supposed roommate greeted the boy, Maka was quick to pull the device from her chest and reattach it to her right ankle. The girl just didn't wish to take any chances, especially with everything that seemed to be happening. It was an odd feeling when your world opened up wider. For five years she had managed to so how hide herself and avoid getting caught. Her parents seemed to protect her from so much, making her almost clueless on the struggles of mutants. That was in till recently.
While she didn't like the term, this was what she was...a mutant. Maybe not by appearance, but by what she could do. If she went into detail, she was an out of control mutant and a danger to herself.
After returning the bracelet to it's proper place, the red head slowly rose to her feet as she dusted off her skirt before nodding towards Jorey and then looking towards the window. Already her face was bright pink.

The flash of Erza's camera went off every few seconds or so. Ever since she had arrived at the Institution, she was consumed with so much excitement and couldn't stop taking pictures of the breathtaking mansion. Her adoptive father had given her so much. A new camera, and even a cell phone, which she had no knowledge about how to even use it. He said he had placed his number in the phone in case of an emergency, and if she ever just wanted to chat. The buttons and the number on the buttons confused her, and so she never bothered to use it.
Erza couldn't believe her luck. One day she was stuck in a foster home where she was treated horribly and the next, she was inside a dreamy mansion, going to a real school, with real people. She hasn't had much experience about many things, even though she was sixteen years old. Experience wise, she might as well still be a child. She definitely did have a young look about her, but her curves said otherwise.
Erza didn't know it, but she was lost. Having wandered around the massive, maze-like mansion long enough, she realized she was supposed to be locating her classrooms and the room which she would be staying in. Now she wandered around the hallways, hopelessly staring at a piece of paper with a hopeless look on her pretty face.
Then there was hope, for she heard people up ahead. But when she reached them, and opened her mouth to speak, her shyness won out and she couldn't speak. Besides, it looked as if they were busy with something. Then again, how was she supposed to find her room. It was worth a shot... Erza smiled kindly, held out the piece of paper that had her room number and schedule printed on it, and opened her mouth to speak.
"Excuse me.... can you tell me if this is where I am supposed to be? If not, then can you please point me in the right direction? I am really lost..."

"...Hi..." Things had become awkward for Jory. Obviously he was in the wrong room, the wrong area, this was a girl's room... Where was his, then...?
Luckily, yet another student came wandering into the room, lost and confused. It made the situation less awkward now that he wasn't the only one in the wrong room. The mansion was quite large, after all, it was probably understandable.
The second red head was asking for help, that perhaps one of the other two could give her. But Jory, he merely stood against the wall near to the door, silent, trying to be as unnoticeable and out of the way as possible.

A new place was definitely what Alex needed in order to relieve himself of the burden of worrying about his family’s safety. The offer to come to the school to help develop some control over his abilities was exactly what he was hoping for ever since his powers became apparent. He knew how to fly, but the use of his vocal abilities were very dangerous and needed some strict training regimen to help him get a handle on them.
He had found his room with relative ease, but Alex couldn’t find anyone else at the school so he had gone wandering in order to find someone. There were definitely other people around here because he had been told that there were other students. “I guess there is only one thing for me to do.”
Within a few moments, Alex had transformed himself into a red batboy in order to track any sounds that might be a resultant of someone talking. Waves of sound entered into his mind to give him a visual of the room. They were coming from around the corner, so Alex began following them to the source of the sounds.
There was a visual outline of two people standing in the hallway, so he decided to revert back to his normal self. There was no reason to startle anyone by how weird he looked, and Alex figured that they would all get used to each other’s powers sooner or later but there was no reason to rush into that kind of situation.
Alex proceeded to walking up to the group to see what was going on because it looked like something was going on. As he got closer and was able to see in the door way, Alex saw that there were two more girls in addition to the boy and girl in the hallway. “So is this some type of official meeting or did this happen by chance?”

So many people now seemed to be gathered at the entrance or within the room. It was just so odd for the first day to run into so many other students. They were a diverse looking group, though it seemed that they all seemed to share the same kind of confusion that came with being in a new place.Maka was almost feeling silly for acting so shy.
We're all pretty much on the same ship right? Maybe I should say something, instead of looking like a idiot.....
As another figure appeared and asked if they were having some kind of meeting, Maka managed to let out a small giggle as she held her hands behind her back and shook her head.
"Nope...But...maybe we should since so many people are here......"
Her voice was almost a whisper, but at least she had managed to do something other and blush and scream. Looking at the other red haired female as she asked a question about directions, Maka slowly moved past Jory and over to her to see if she could help. Though it was likely that she wouldn't be able to tell her anything. After all, she was still trying to learn about this building as well.
"Well....I know that this is the girl's side of the dormitories..so your room shouldn't be too far away if I'm not mistaken....Unless...your not looking for your room...."
Tilting her head to the side as she looked at Erza with a blank expression, the young girl was silent as she wasn't sure what else to say. Perhaps one of the others could better answer her.

From the looks of it, a lot of people were coming and in here now. Though considering that there were only three beds in this room, and they were only intended for girls, it seemed a bit odd that the two boys had shown up. She soon reasoned, however, that it was probably because they were either bored or had nothing better to do.
In any case, Lizzy took a few steps back and sat on the bed which she had claimed as her own already. She reached her arms apart and stretched them with a yawn. She then turned to the others in the room.
"Well, come in?" she said to the people in the hallway. "Since everyone's in here, we may as well introduce each other to our gifts, no? Screw formalities and introductions."

Erza's face flushed as she frowned. She really wanted to go locate her room. But she didn't want to be rude, either. The blonde girl was so blunt and bold. She didn't want to get on this girl's bad side. She didn't seem like a bad person at all, just a little intimidating.... Erza nodded at the blonde girl and entered the room. She did wonder about the cute boy, though. Was he allowed to be in the girl's dormitory? Entering the room, Erza watched her step. She didn't want to embarrass herself and trip on air and fall on her face and hurt herself. She would prefer if none of that business happened today, though there has never been a day where one of those didn't happen.

There were a lot of mutant students around now. It was strange to be around so many others who were like himself, they were actually people who knew what it was like to be different. So, were they all going to get along, or would it be like any other place, with bullies and ignorance...?
The blonde girl in the room... what was her name? Jory didn't actually know anyone here, not even one... did any of them know each other...? And yet, the girl was telling them all to enter and demonstrate their powers, without doing introductions first.
It would be nice to find his own room, since that was where he would be staying from now on, not here in the apparent girl's section... However, the suggestion had made him rather curious. What could all these other teenagers do, he wondered... but said nothing. He didn't want to be made the first one to show his 'gift'.

And here it was, the day that all the students were to arrive for the opening of the school. Things were about to get a hell of a lot more annoying around their home, if not unbearably so. However, he signed himself up for this stupidity, mainly to be close to Elizabeth. Either way, he was stuck with the situation for now and he'd just have to learn how to cope. Yet at the same time, he wasn't really looking forward to sharing a living space with any of the street urchins his father decided to take in.
The teen walked out into the hallway, nothing on except a pair of boxer briefs. He had no shame, none at all. The blond would simply go to the girls' room at the opposite end of the hallway, standing in the doorway. He blinked lazily a few times, indicating that he had been sleeping or rather resting, considering he barely ever truly slept.
"What's the commotion about? Did some use their powers and die or something?" Max would ask, being halfway serious. He looked around the room, taking note of the four new individuals. Great. They all looked weak.

Elizabeth had been waiting for someone to say or do something for quite some time. None of the other students seemed interested in showing off their powers or any other form of introduction. They were all quiet... and boring. Elizabeth already didn't like them. None of them. Especially Rapunzel. The girl had said nothing. How boring. Maybe she wasn't even a mutant. Well, her father would know better than that. Lizzy glared at the girl. Too timid, and too quiet.
However, finally Elizabeth's brother entered the room. Now, Maximus had to know that this room was supposed to serve as the girl's room, though he was here anyway... in only his boxer's. It was rather inappropriate. She'd just roll her eyes a bit and finally acknowledge his statement.
"I wish someone died. It'd be more interesting than this lot," she began. "All too timid to even show what they can do. Pathetic."
