Erza's mouth gaped open in an 'o' as the blonde hair glared at her. She didn't understand why she was watching Erza so intently the way she was. Was there something in her hair? Of course there was something in her hair, there was always something in her hair, especially random quills and dandruff. She didn't know how to react other than to smile back at the girl and wave. Then Erza pulled out her hairbrush and brushed her long red hair.
Suddenly, she had the urge to sneeze. Erza gasped for breath before sneezing, a high pitched noise filling up the room, but it wouldn't be that which would attract their attention. It was the fact that, unknown to Erza, a few dozen hardened and spiked hairs had shot out of her head and stuck themselves onto the wall behind her. She sheepishly wiped her nose on her sleeve and smiled apologetically.
"Excuse me...."

The timid girl had been the first to respond to his question, but it had been so quiet that Alex could barely make out what she had said. The girl then moved on to respond to a question that was asked before he had gotten there. It seemed like most everybody was confused about what they should be doing and where they should be doing it.
The blond haired girl got into a relaxed position before offering up the idea that they should begin showing off their powers to one another before they introduce themselves. Alex followed suit and entered the girl’s room for the group bonding session, which was probably going to turn into a power comparison of sorts. The entrance of another guy into the room behind him made Alex wonder exactly how many students were enrolled at this school. He also wondered why the guy had asked if someone had died. Was death going to be a common thing at this school or was it meant to be a joke?
The blond haired girl who had started the awkward phase of the conversation by asking for power demonstrations had crossed a line by calling him pathetic, which was something that Alex wasn’t going to allow that to stand. If the girl wanted a power show, then he was going to give her one, but the red head’s sneezing projectiles had caught him off guard. Alex made a note not to stand behind that girl at any point in time while he stayed here because he was against having body piercings of any kind.
“I guess I will go next.” Alex closed his eyes to focus on the transformation that he had done in order to find these people, but now it was more difficult because he was around other people. It took a bit for the change to start, but once it did the process went very smoothly. First his skin turned red, then his head slowly shifted to a more bat like form where his face was the only thing that was left unmodified, his arms transformed into bat wings with his hands still there, and lastly his body grew to where he towered over the rest of them.
With the change done, all that was left for Alex to do was to finish with his more dangerous power. “You all should cover your ears.” With that being said, Alex let loose a very low level screamed that would only cause certain glass objects to crack.

Maka had been caught off guard by the projectile sneezing as well, screaming as she ducked just before one of them came close to knocking her head off. She really didn't think them displaying their abilities wasn't necessary or interesting. What happened to simply saying your name and where you were from? Not to mention that the comment from the blonde girl was rather inconsiderate. Had she no real sense of modesty? Even if she were simply speaking her mind, it just didn't seem like a nice thing to say to people you barely knew.
But it seemed that the comment had started something, as another boy seemed to begin to make a drastic change in his appearance. As he transformed, Maka found herself stepping back to the point where she had bumped into the newest arrival. Looking up and then realizing he was in boxers, the girl jumped away from him and then turned her gaze away as she stared towards the floor in embarrassment. Her jumping didn't end after that, as she flinched slightly after the now bat-like boy released a small scream. But it had been strong enough to break the sun glasses within her bag, making her expression that of shock. Just what she gotten into?.

Jory tugged on his hat at the sides, pulling the material of it, as well as his hands, over both of his ears. He covered them in time. Luckily, he had no objects with him that would break from the echoing sound. The transformation was impressive too, the boy noted, peeking out from under the lid of his hat to get a look at the bat-human mutant.
The girl before him obviously had some sort of... cosmetic problem, relating to her hair. Maybe that wasn't the entirety of what she could do, but it was all that she had 'demonstrated' and it made Jory wary either way. Not that the spikes of hair had shot anywhere in his direction, but that was beside the point...
"So... who else?" he turned his eyes over to the blonde girl, the one who had suggested it in the first place. "You haven't shown us what you can do, you know..."

"Whoah! Dude! That's scary awesome!" Elizabeth said to the one she would deem as "Batboy." She had never seen anything like that before. She had seen mutants who looked like animals, but never any who could willingly shapeshift like that. It was pretty awesome. In any case, by seeing his power, she had instantly deemed him as a potential friend. She honestly thought he was really cool, in a creepy sort of way.
The other girl, however, who had simply sneezed and sent hair missiles all through the room, she had instantly deemed as even more of a flake. Not only had she not used her powers intentionally, but she also lacked any kind of control over them. She was a danger. Elizabeth didn't even think she could handle sleeping in the same room with her. She would ignore her though, for now.
"You're right, I haven't," Elizabeth said in response to Trip's comment. She smirked at him. Then without wasting another second, she spat her tongue out at his ankle and pulled it. This would send him falling backward onto his back if he didn't do something to dodge it or gain his balance.
"I have a lizard tongue." She smiled. She then turned around and knelt down next to her bed. Reaching under her bed, she pulled out an oval-shaped item in her hand. It was about half the size of an ostrich egg. She stood up and showed it to the rest of them.
"I can also lay eggs. One a month," She hugged the egg against her chest. It was obviously precious to her. However she then looked to every other member of the group with an intense glare.
"Don't ever touch my eggs."

Jory let out a cry when he felt the sudden tug at his ankle. "Agh!" he called out, his leg quickly pulled out from under him. It sent him falling backward, his back slammed against the floor, the back of his head collided with the wall he'd been standing near. He felt a dizziness run through his head at that moment.
The boy looked up from where he lay on the floor, watching the strange girl with a nervous feeling in his stomach that she might 'show' him further what else she could do. A lizard tongue, she had said? How strange.
Obviously Jory would have no reason now or in the future to touch the weirdly large eggs the blonde... laid. But he felt anyway that it would be in his best interest to nod his head quickly, that way she knew he wouldn't dare touch them. It was probably the case that none of the other students would have any reason to touch such eggs either, yet the teenager on the floor bobbed his head, nodding nervously and without a sound, to show the girl that he understood not to go near them.

Erza's eyes widened when the blonde girl pulled out her egg. She actually had an egg under her bed. An egg that she lay herself. Her face flushed red. She honestly didn't know what to think about that. It was the strangest, yet most interesting thing she had ever witnessed in her life. She wondered if the egg turned into a human baby or if the egg hatched into a regular baby lizard. She thought it would be wrong to ask. Besides, the blonde didn't seem to like Erza much.
Erza smiled sheepishly at all the mutant powers. She was still not quite used to all the mutant business. Maybe she would get used to it after some time being here, but for now, she felt a little more than uncomfortable. It was strange because she ought to feel more at home than anything. She would try to get along with them. She genuinely enjoyed people, but not everyone here were all that nice. She still would try to be nice back. After all, just because someone does you wrong doesn't mean you have to go and do them wrong to. That would surely start a never ending cycle of hatred, and Erza wanted to avoid that as much as possible.
Erza had only realized what had happened when she sneezed after another one of the girls ducked out of the way of her projectiles. She apologized immediately. It was just an accident. It didn't happen all the time, but yeah, she did have accidents. Doesn't everyone have accidents with their powers sometimes? Erza could control her powers. She could make her hair grow out and grab things. Perhaps she should show that to them too? After all, they were showing their powers.
Suddenly, and without anyone's notice, her hair started to grow out. Erza willed her hair to grow and reach out to pull all of the hair projectiles from the wall. That is what it did, and the hair projectiles suddenly turned back to normal hair after being pulled out. This was only because Erza willed it to go back to normal. She wasn't sure exactly about how it all worked all of the time, but this suited her just fine. Erza picked up all the extra clumps of hair and then her hair went back to its normal length, which was still reaching past her waist. Erza smiled brightly at everyone.
"I can make my hair grow out and grab things with it, too."

Everyone's abilities seemed interesting and unique. The blonde most of all, considering that she was capable of laying eggs. Maka wasn't sure what to say to that, especially without being rude or sounding completely freaked out. This was more the case for her, since it seemed that this person would be her roommate. So when long tongued female stated that no one was to touch her eggs, Maka made sure to nod her head quickly in response to the request. There wouldn't be a chance that she'd cross her, not when she could do things like that.
Though as the displays continued, the young red head watched as the long haired female began to pull her projectile stands of hair from the walls, stating that she had the ability to grow out her hair and also grab things with it. These people had pretty good control of their skills, making her feel a little like the odd one out. Maka hadn't gained a full grasps on her powers just yet. In fact, they only seemed to happen when she was extremely freaked or surprised. In truth, she wasn't sure she wanted to show off her abilities right now, especially in the slight chance that she accidentally phased through the floor and ended up in the main hall or somewhere else.
"That's amazing........"
In another soft voice, Maka complimented Erza on her skills as she gave a small smile while holding her hands behind her.

Alex reverted himself back to his normal human looking self except that his shirt was ripped along the sides and sort of stretched out around the shoulders. It was the main price that he had to pay for his powers, which is why he bought clothes that were cheap. He looked around to see if anyone else was going to show off their abilities, and that was the point when the only other guy in the room with a full set of clothes on demanded that the girl who had started this whole thing show them her powers.
Dude is going to regret that. [/color] He watched as the blond girl used her long tongue to trip up the boy who took a nasty fall, which sort of served him right. Alex had to agree that the girl should have been the first to demonstrate her power, but he knew better than to say anything because that would make him the target of the example. He didn’t know what to think about her laying eggs, but it wasn’t his concern since he didn’t plan on eating any eggs while staying at this school The hair girl seemed even odder that the lizard one in Alex’s mind because her power made him wonder if she was going to look like Cousin It from the Addams family when she got older. There were so many questions that he could ask, but now was not the time for such things as they were supposed to be demonstrating their powers for everyone to see and judge accordingly. “So which one of you three want to go next?”His question was obviously directed at the half-naked guy, the quiet girl, and the guy who had been shown up by the lizard chick. As soon as they showed off their powers, they could move on to introducing themselves to one another or thinking up weird nicknames to use. [/blockquote]

Max just sat back and watched rather coolly, wondering who had the best powers out of all of them. So far, the only one who seemed to have any interesting powers was batboy over there. The whole hair thing...really wasn't all that interesting or cool, noting how it didn't seem to attract much attention. He'd give a slight grin as Elizabeth tripped whatshisface with her tongue, delighting the male slightly.
As for his own powers, they weren't very important. At least they weren't to him. After all, his powers weren't flashy, cool or even all that dangerous unless he was really trying hard. But if he were to explain his powers, they wouldn't grab much attention either. If anything, he probably had the lamest "gift" in the entire room, yet he remained rather coolheaded.
"Eh. I do stuff. With technology. That's about it." He didn't even show them what he meant, he merely just said what his power was. They didn't need a show, this wasn't a damn circus.

Elizabeth noted her brother's lack of enthusiasm. He didn't seem to be into this at all, yet she, and everyone else, were excited to see each other's powers. She still wasn't much of a fan of the girl with her hair. It was actually a bit disgusting to Elizabeth, but her feeling this way easily could have been caused simply because she didn't like her in the first place.
"Daedalus! Show us your powers! C'mon, they're cooler than you say," Elizabeth entreated him enthusiastically, though she already did know what his powers were.

"Well that doesn't sound so bad....."
Maka smiled politely as she looked towards Daedalus, nodding as she was willing to accept that as a good enough explanation of his powers. After all, it just seemed weird to display their powers off, even if it was as a means of introduction. Then again, maybe the reason she thought this was because she didn't want to be under the gaze of everyone. Nor did she want to look like an idiot when her powers failed to work for her.
Though her smile seemed to fade quickly as Lizzy shouted towards the older mutant, causing her to flinch and coil both hands up near her face.

"That's amazing....."
Erza blushed as the girl complimented on her powers. She seemed to be the only one even remotely interested in her awkward hair powers. Honestly, she wouldn't be surprised if everyone else was disgusted or soemthing. She smiled back at her.
"Thanks... what are your powers?"
But everyone else seemed more concerned about the 'technology' powers. Erza was indeed facinated by technology, since she has never used much of it in the entirety of her life. But sometimes, they tended to be extremely complicated. Like a cellphone. Ezra pulled out hers as she thought about her cellphone. She opened it and looked at the buttons. She still didn't understand how to use a cellphone. She knew that if you pressed the numbers, you would be able to communicate with someone in direction of that number, but only if they had a cellphone which connected them to that number. Or something along those lines. Maybe someday she'd use it, like when her adoptive father would call her.
Maybe she would ask the technological boy about it, since his powers were based on technology. He must really know a lot. She looked at the boy with wide curious eyes. He was pretty cute. But then she blushed and looked away. She didn't want him catching her staring at him. That would be just too weird and he wouldn't like her very much for that. Erza scratched her cheek awkwardly as she waited to see what would happen.

"Since you're being so lame..." The blond said, his uncaring eyes looking everyone over at least once. Nothing was interesting about his powers, at least to him. Then again, one's own powers shouldn't be interesting after having them for a certain point. Even he understood human concepts such as boredom. If anything, he was bored with his own powers, mainly because they weren't that useful.
"Your phone. Watch." The boy said, standing still, not moving a muscle. There was no need to move. Everything he did was merely with his mind and nothing more. The phone would be hijacked by his mind, his willpower overtaking the phone...until a message was displayed.
What would it read? 'Boo'. In large, red letters. flashing across the entirety of the screen. Granted he could have done many more things, but he was sure people got the gist of what he could do. Besides, leaving the rest of his abilities out of the equation gave him some kind of...mystery.
"Meh. I can hack into anything I'd like to and learn any piece of information that suits my needs. I could even build a stealth bomber if I wanted to...if I had the right parts."

Jory rose to his feet. Nearly everyone around them had revealed their special 'abilities'. He didn't want to perform his for the other students, though, not now. Besides, the weird technoguy was doing his thing now, and was playing it off as though he couldn't care less about his power. Whether or not the stealth bomber thing was true or not, he couldn't be sure of, but learning and retaining knowledge so easily would be extremely useful. Jory wished he could do that.
And there were too many people in the room now. The boy felt crowded. I could teleport out of here... then they'd see my power...
